Gulf of Corinth and Corinth Canal

Visibility was very poor in the Gulf of Corinth but you can just see this amazing bridge through the heat haze. We had to request permission to transit under the bridge, giving our "air height" and we were told which span to pass under and "when"!Rion-Andirrion suspension bridge 2252m wide

Phew!!

Anchored in Nisis Trizonia, north side of the Gulf, fantastic little harbour with a small marina and left early morning for Corinth Canal, not knowing what to expect???

Corinth Canal: 1-3 knots of current, sometimes with us and sometimes against! €230 transit fee
