Nisos Meganisi, Levkas and Gulf of Amvrakia

The sailing in the North Ionian has been wonderful...champagne sailing!  Gentle breezes and no sea!!  We look forward to sailing there again with the Ionian International Regatta 5-13 August 2012.

Island of Skorpios, one of two private islands purchased by the late Aristotle Onassis

Small beach house in a cove on the SW of Skorpios that Jackie Onassis favoured

The whole of Skorpios has been planted as a park - Nisos Levkas in the background

Mararitas Restaurant right opposite Kinabalu on the Levkas quay!

Relaxing with champagne at Levkas Quay on our 42nd wedding anniversary

Shades down for privacy on Levkas Quay

Unloading goats with new bells onto Nisos Meganisi

Goat ran just astern of Kinabalu where we were stern to with a line ashore

Great snorkelling

In Levkas we managed to do quite a bit of work....Bob repaired the black water tank with an overhaul kit for the macerator pump, changed engine oil and filters, bought two Swiss solar panels and Swedish mountings and fitted those back in the Meganisi Islands where it was calm and quiet.  While at the quay in Levkas we had gusts of up to 35 knots blowing all the boats onto the quay.  See photos below of solar panels on aft guard rails, sun shades and unsophisticated passarel/pine board to get on and off.
